HELP!!!!!!! Problem with KT7 mobo

okay heres the deal, I have an Abit KT7 MB with a duron 700 with 256 of ram, 20 gig WD hd and Riva TNT2 32meg AGP card. I cant get this thing to post. I can turn the system on, I get no video output. I cant heard the HD spin up with the IDE cables in. I have tried replacing the ide cable and the hd with a known working model and its not working. I get no beeps coming from the system. I have triple checked all the wires going into the system(for led's and switches) I have made sure the cpu fan is on the proper header. SO heres my dilema. I cant get any video output. I cant get the hd to spin up when its plugged into the mb. Does this mean I have a bad Mobo? anyone else got any known problems or things I can check?

Reset the cmos (jumper). Remove all other but cpu, ram and video. And reinsert all of them.

Tried repllying the pencil trick? if that doesn't work try booting and push the insert button. And if that fails I would say that the mobo is defect (or cpu)

oh I forgot, when I move the jumpers to flash the bios the pc wont fire up at all

hey? are there a jumper that has to be set in the kt7?!? Damn... I have struggeled some time when trying to upgrade the bios on one of those boards... where is it?

edit: if you have overclocked your computer with the pencil trick (Brigding the l1,l7 things at the prosessor)

oh no, no pencil trick here, just gonna run it at 700. its just a system for word processing and crap like that.

hmm well im locked here in the office till the owner gets back, im gona try replacing the ram and see if that does the trick, I tried pulling the video card and nothing. There is a jumper for the cmos with three positions, when I connect it to the opposite of the default it wont boot at all. I had this issue on another kt7 I had but I never had any problems like this. could ram be the issue here? I would think that it would be a bad mobo because wouldnt the hd at least spin up on its own even if the processor was bad? I mean if it IS the processor its not THAT big of deal since its only $38 but still It sucks

i had the same problem. unplug the system take out the battery, and then reseat the video card. wait for about an hour, and then you should be good to go. dont know why it works, but it has for me numerious times.......

i had a problem like this before, bad mobo on my old k6-2, try to get a refund?maybe some sort of pice of metal or something conductive on your mobo, thats what happened to mine.
