Help problem

My friend,
just booted up the computer, it couldn't find the C drive and then he got a system.INI Failure

WTF does that mean?
And what can I do to resolve the issue?

This is on an older cyrix machine

Try looking inside the PC first. make sure the IDe cable and power cable to the HD is connected correctly. Then try booting up with your windows startup disk and use the 'fdisk' command to see if the C: HD is seen, and if it flagged as bootable.

How can you get anything about missing your system.ini when it doesn't even see the c: drive, unless you have windows on d:, etc.? Do
you only have 1 hard drive in the system? Easiest way to replace the system.ini would be to just rerun windows setup over old install.
