Help: RA2 and Yuri's Revenge won't work on my computer

Neither Red Alert 2 nor Yuri's Revenge function on my computer. Here's the information about my machine.
Mainboard: ABIT IS7 (original BIOS version--as of August)
CPU: P4 2.8C
Memory: 4 Corsair 256MB DIMMs@PC3200, CL2
Video card: Powercolor Radeon 9800 Pro
Sound card: SB Audigy 2 Platinum
HDD: Two SATA 150 Seagate Barracuda V 120GB disks in RAID 0
DVD: Lite-On 16x
CD-RW: Asus 52x24x52x

OS: Windows 2000, Service Pack 4

I have all the latest drivers and firmware.

Help!

What's the problem? Does it not start up? Does it crash? Did you install the game patches?

When I open either of the applications, the splash image appears, the screen fades to black, then the computer returns to Windows. I have the latest version of both games.

God damn it, I found the solution. RA2 is not compatible with processors which are hyper-threading, even if hyper-threading is disabled. It would be nice if Westwood has put up a disclaimer about this or put out a patch, but NO.

that sucks, sorry to hear that. if you paid a lot for it and want your money back or something, maybe you should email them and explain their fault. HOPEFULLY, you'd be able to get something out of it. good luck.

Considering Westwood is no more, updates probably won't come very often.

EA has taken over Westwood, so if you go to EA's site you may be able to find something.

Man, that really sucks. RA2 is one of my favorite games too. It's a good thing that I'm waiting for the Athlon64.
