Good day everyone,
I am looking for a bit of help finishing my PC build.
Currently what I have purchased
CPU: AMD 9800x3d - Bought it as soon as it came available here in Canada
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X870-E Gaming
RAM: Nothing yet. I was hoping to get a ram does the 8000MHZ Hence why I got this Rog Strix x870 - But I saw a few YT vid that said buying 8000 MHZ RAm would be a waste. Please let me3 know the ram speed and brand id like 32 gb +
SSD/M.2: I was thinking Samsung 990 PRO? 2tb I don't need more than that.
GPU: I am patiently waiting next month for the 5080 or 5090 to come out. This is what I will be buying. I am currently running a 3070 Ti.
PSU: This is where I need the most help! I originally thought I needed to go with a 1500+ Watts PSU As I will probably buy the 5090. But I saw that even a 1200W will be over killed. Please help I would need a brand and wattage that would work with a 5090 and maybe a little room for future upgrades.
CPU Cooler: I mostly always had an air cooler and currently have a Thermalright Peerless Assasin on my 12600kf CPU. It works! I am open to AIO if it provides better cooling.
CASE: I was thinking Montech 95 Pro but everything is out of stock unless I don’t mind getting the Montech 95 and buying the fans separately. My 2nd option is the Fractal design North xl. ( I am not a fan of the wood.) Any suggestion would be great. Unless these two are my best options.
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. Gaming only
2. What YOUR budget is. As you can See I just paid 1500$ for my motherboard and CPU Therefore not really limited. I want what will work best with my CPU and Motherboard.
3. What country: Canada
4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
Store I will buy from
5. IF YOU have a brand preference. No preference just Quality
6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are. Nope everything New
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds. Overclocking is not out of the question but I haven't done any in the last 25 years so I may leave that alone not sure.
8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using? 1440p
9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Not building until I get my new Video card next month But want to purchase the parts now.
10. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software? NO
Thank you everyone!
