What do you guys thing is the best way to update realtek audio drivers? The D/L from realtek all show R2.78 and there are a few win 7 x64 versions 2 to be exact dont get why. PLZ dont bother with asrock.com as its a waste of time i bet NO MOBO manufacturer keeps all of their component manufacturers drivers up to date.

Thanks,
Sebastian

Downloading the drivers from Realtek is indeed the best way to make sure you're on the latest version. From the downloads page, you want the version labeled "64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)". The others are 32/64 bit versions in one package (not harmful but a bigger download) and the ZIP file version for manual installation.

Thanks for the help but the problem is there are 2 of those(Realtek ALC1150). One is (64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file) r2.78, 2015/5/21, 114457k
and
Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver (32/64bits) Driver only (Executable file) r2.78, 2015/5/21, 202083k

Which is the correct one and can they be used for the asrock extreme 6?

AND where do i find newest asmedia ASMedia ASM1061 SATA3/ASMedia ASM1042AE USB3/realtek Realtek RTL8111GR LAN?

Thanks for your help.

p.s. I have found:
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#1

but it only has
RTL8111B/RTL8168B/RTL8111/RTL8168
RTL8111C/RTL8111CP/RTL8111D(L)
RTL8168C/RTL8111DP/RTL8111E
RTL8168E/RTL8111F/RTL8411
RTL8111G/RTL8111GUS/RTL8411B(N)
RTL8118AS

Not RTL811GR (has the G, but GR, can i settle for the G?)

Thanks again

You should use the Windows built-in drivers for those components if possible. Are you seeing an error?

"If possible" means if there is a built in driver. Which ones have yellow exclamation points?

I dont recall it was "PCI error" and the code it gave, when i looked it up it said it because of lack of driver.
Is it ok to use the 2.78 on the z97 extreme6? Can you plz give me any hint on the the best way to find newest drivers? Obviously asrock is not it. The intel parts on intels site are ok but i cant get asmedia for some reason. I dont know what im doing wrong but i dont see a DL part. ASMedia ASM1042AE + ASMedia ASM1042AE

Thanks for help

I will need some more specific information to be able to help you track down the devices. Can you take a screenshot of your Device Manager with all of the yellow exclamation points visible?

Yes, that is fine.

I'm not sure why you're so into having the absolute bleeding-edge drivers for all of your parts. Are you seeing a specific issue that you're trying to solve? ASRock's site will have reasonable working versions of all your motherboard's drivers.

NOt really, other then randon blue screen of death (For some reason it occurs right as i boot) previously it was when i was in a game and GPU was the culprite and ur half right about getting modern drivers. I surmise asrock will have to get off their lazy ass and update them when win 10 comes out. Would be nice to go to MOBO manufacturer and get them there.

What's the STOP code that you get on your bluescreen? It might be hardware-related and not software at all.

At this moment i dont have any "yellow" question marks in the device manager as it was a problem of lacking a driver and it was Management engine if I recall correctly.

To be honest, ive not taken screen shots but im on verge of doing a fresh install of win 7, so i just want to get newest drivers and install them on a dvd that ill use for drivers as the "asrock disk" is old as dirt only cool part is it shows you what driver model you have and it offers.

Im really confused as to the blue screens (was thinking it was bios settings but i dont have anything radical, just layman OC, nothing complicated) and when it blue screens its does it again and again. Had issue before but that turned out to be GPU a 780ti and the solution was to underclock the gpu which was obviously not something i was pleased as i wanted to oc it not underclock and not not to mentions it could not perform the parameters on the box but now have a 980 and i think its drives (though no proof, its why i want to get "newest" before i do a clean install)

Thanks for your help.

Well, if you've got the system overclocked and it's blue screening, the first step is to undo the overclock. Please note down the STOP code the next time it blue screens. We need to properly debug rather than trying random bleeding-edge drivers.

yeah ive does that that did not fix it so i did a hard reboot of bios and when i was talking about oc its just changing it from 4.4 to 4.5 i think and its a "generic" ish where you dont change the voltage or multiplier or BCLK i just give you an option to OC a couple of tiers. I just hope win 10 will work better, though not going there for like 6 months.

OK, good, now it's time to collect the STOP codes from the blue screens and post them here.

They don't provide drivers to end users, only to OEMs.

You need to upload the file someplace, like imgur.com, and then link to it there.

Are you trying to add a pic to your reply in this forum? If so, you need to store the image in a compatible program such as IMGUR, Photobucket, or bbddzz.com. Then you need to use the BB(forum) option. When you have the URL pasted in your draft reply, start with
.

If you do not use the
prefix and suffix, the bare URL will be there but no image. Here's a sample:

And yes, you can do it in Quick Reply. That's what this is.

Here is the same image just using the URL:
