help: Want this girl, think we could have something, but BOYFRIEND

my life always seems to have problems...and this seems to be one of them. There is this chick i have liked for a few years. she has always had a boyfriend, so i would never say or do anything because i dont like to mess with other peoples relationships. anyhow, her and her bf broke up for a lil bit this past summer so i made my move. we had a really good date, even walked the beaches. we held hands and i really felt some chemistry. the huge problem is that this was a week before i left for college and she had to stay in high school. i was now out of the picture, and she now has this loser boyfriend that i hate with a passion. being valentines day and all, i am wondering if i didnt do enough or try hard enough. should i tell her now how i feel?? should i say something about that one day we had that lingers in my mind every day?? need some help on this one...thanx
