check the BIOS.
Make sure the controller is Enabled!
What Model of Samsung do you run?

Not enough info.

You didnt say if you have IDE HDD on mobo w/O/S or just are starting fresh with SATA
You have to go in bios and turn off IDE channels if no PATA HDD
You must turn on just SATA you are using - nvidia on chip or other vendor chip - Silicon Image.
If you are booting from that drive, you have to set that in bios also
Once bios is configured, you can format and partition drive from floppy with HDD install utility extracted to floppy disc
Only connect one power connector to SATA - the 15 pin is preferred if PSU has it - 4 pin molex otherwise. Plugging in both may blow drive.
If your mobo doesnt support SATA II, you will have to jumper down HDD to SATA I

The manual should tell you preferred SATA connector to use first (out of four nvidia)
When the SATA controller you are using is on in the bios, and you can see drive, during XP install you need to press F6 when prompted for SCSI drivers and have SATA drivers for correct controller on floppy (from mobo CD). Windows install CD will find them. Or if your XP CD already has SP2 on it, the install will load the generic MS SATA drivers.

read your manual, select the nvidia controller, make sure RAID is disabled and install as usual

I have turned them on.
But each time I'm going to detect the HDD the bios crashes.
If anyone are kind enough, could you take picture of your settings on your bios, If you have the same bios as me and a SATA HDD.
I'm really newb at this.
Btw
Sorry that I forgot to say that I wasn't using a IDE HDD.

Sorry to say that actually you are using an IDE HDD. SATA is only a newer interface between an IDE drive and an IDE controller...

ya, its SATA, he's just being technical with you.

you have a problem explaining your problem
I'm guessing English is not your native language
and when someone offers 6 suggestions, you make comment back on all, not ignore most what was said

what does this mean?
"But each time I'm going to detect the HDD the bios crashes."
Bios dont crash

Get the hard drive install utility from manuf website and partition/format it
Put install program on floppy and set bios to boot from floppy first

I'm sure that i'm using SATA.

Because it needs a SATA cable, and it's a SATA HDD

Yes, the IDE drive use the SATA interface to communicate with the IDE controller while another IDE drives may use the PATA ribbon cable to communicate with the IDE controller.

SATA is an interface.. nothing more, nothing less.. a way to connect 2 things together.

You don't have to enable anything.. if the drive work, then the interface (SATA) is doing its job. Connecting the HDD to the controller.
