Okay I just put a new rig together here are the specs:
2.4ghz p4
2 gigs of Corsair XMS Twinx1024x3200LL (matched Pair 512MB DIMMS) DDR400
Asus P4C800D (i875 Canterwood)
2 WD360 Raptors SATA
Geforce 4 TI 4600 (albatron medusa w/thermaltake fan and tin coated copper ram sinks)
420w Thermaltake Silent Pure Power w/ PFC
Zalman CNPS-7000 w/ fanmate controller
Audigy 2
Plextor 504A DVD/CD burner
Xaser III v2000a Thermaltake Aluminium Case
Logitech MX 500 Optical Mouse
Okay Now the corsair ram timings on the site say they should be set to 2-2-2-6-1? or something like that, but what Should I be running them at? Considering im only using the 2.4 ghz without the 800mhz FSB? I do plan to overclock a bit but atm would should I set them too or should I let the bios auto set them like they are now? According to what I was reading in the manual, without overclocking the RAm with run at 266MHZ on a 400MHZ FSB? is this correct? ANy help would be a ppreciated and I'm somwhat of a noobies when it comes to building my computer...
I do plan to upgrade to a 3.4 prescott whenever that comes out to fully utilize the mobo and the ram to full potential..
