I am about ready to pull my hair out. My uncle has an off the shelf HP machine from BEST BUY he has had it since DEC. Basically he has 2 computers, one main one that the back office uses and hosts and shares QuickBooks Accounting software to the machine (locally) in the other office.
Basically what's happening is that QuickBooks on his machine will launch and login to the shared file on the local network fine then in about 5-10 days (seems random) when clicking the Quickbooks icon it will launch the splash screen and CRASH immediately without any error number. Keep in mind the same license is running fine on the main computer (my aunt's machine). The only fix that has work 2 times seems to be making a whole new windows (admin) user. When I create a new user the machine will work for several days. Then it will crash QB and the only fix is a new user again.
It almost seems like the users are getting corrupted every few days.... Has anyone ever heard of this? Or suggestions to troubleshoot? I have tried HP but they are no help. QB support has helped me with the new users, but say it's not their program if it works with a new user.
