Help with ASUS Tech support

Hi,

I've posted about my problem a couple of times before, however, I've just heard back from Asus tech support Taiwan( I emailed tech USA) with their suggestions. You can about read my original problem. What I want to know is if they've read my message my do they suggest loading different 4in1 drivers (I'm using 4.32) since I've already told them that the OS doesn't even start to boot (the system freezes at the exact point when loading should start). Any comments queries would be very much appreciated.

You'd better try to update the VIA 4-in-1 driver, except the AGP driver.
Or please have a try with Micron memory, I have tested on that memory
without any problem.

ASUS Tech support has been confused for a while now. I asked them about a problem I have with ASUS Probe reporting voltage drops (various - across the board) on two different A7A266, identical, systems I have and they sent me a new BIOS Rev 1005 and said it would fix my temperature problem. I don't have a temperature problem.

I sent back a V7700 -64 mb video card about 4 weeks ago and still haven't received the fixed/replacement yet. I called and they said they would send a replacement because it's past their time frame for fixing it. I told the guy jokingly he could send me a GF3 as a replacement and he didn't say anything. I have my fingers crossed.

I wish I could help you with your problem. I know in the past I have had the same experience with lock and software boot time. I just cant remember how I fixed it.

Just a thought, wasn't JohnnyGuru having problems with the A7A266 when he installed two sticks of 256mb DDR RAM on his board, and the problem turned out to be a undocumented jumper? I have two 256 mb DDR on my A7V266 and used the fix and have had no problems. Maybe you have a similer problem.
