I say problem but it is more of an annoyance really. Nevertheless, whenever I use certain apps on my computer for a reasonably long period, it's like part of my connection dies and I can no longer load any webpages/check email. All I've been able to figure out is that all the programs involve the use of udp packets not tcp, for examples: counterstrike/7 sultans poker software/edonkey. Now even though I can no longer load webpages, all these programs will continue to work just fine. I've tried the following as possible solutions:
1. Using 'repair' on my wireless connection
2. Turning the router off then back on again
3. Turning the cable modem off then back on again
4. Rebooting my own pc.
Only option 4 fixes the problem. But I know it isn't just a problem with my pc as my brother who lives in a different city experiences exactly the same thing and he has completely different hardware, which just leaves me baffled as to what is going on...
