Help with calculator? google

So I'm trying to convert my height and I'm 181 cm tall. According to google calculator I'm 5 foot 9, but when I punch in 5 foot 9 inches to cm it gives me 175? wtf?

psst.. there aren't 10 inches in a foot.

181cm = 5.93832021 = 5 foot, 11.25"

175cm = 5.74146982 = 5 foot, 8.89"

PEBKAC. As others have mentioned, 5.9 feet is not 5'9".

Thanks guys, for a second I thought my fatness level on the BMI index was worse than ever. I had the impression that the fat my body carries has made me smaller in size.

It seems he's not from the US. Since we use such a backwards measurement system and not metric, outsiders aren't aware of the 12 inch in a foot thing.
