Help with car audio?

Looking to add some bass to my car. Nothing insane, just something that will provide a bit more kick down low. I'd like something that's fairly accurate and as non-muddy sounding as possible.

I've been looking around for the past few hours and this seems to be a decent setup I came across, and not too expensive.

I just need someone who actually knows their stuff to give me some feedback on this combo. I already have some really heavy gauge wires from the "system" my car came with, which consisted of an old amp that was wired up to power and ignition with no speakers connected. Also, it was loose in the trunk and I'm very thankful that the ground was the only wire that slipped off on the drive home. But what gauge wire should go from the amp to the sub?

I haven't been keeping up with amps. JBL used to make a great little mono amp in the BP600.1. There's the eD NINe.2 that'll do 1 x 400 @ 4Ohm, dunno if it's stable at lower than 4Ohm. I'd stay away from the budget stuff though.

The most important thing, besides making sure your box is the right size for the driver, imo, is to match the RMS output wattage to the average wattage the subwoofer is rated for.
