i think you should go with this. it'll make it easier to get to the top and you'll also get some practice going uphill. eventually you should be able to get up the hill without help after you gain some experience. i think you're scared to ride the clutch. when you let go of the clutch completely, do you start to slow down immediately after that point? the way it sounds to me, whoever taught you how to drive told you to get off the clutch sooner than later. i mean it isn't good to kill ur clutch but if you can't get to where you're trying to, your car isn't doing what it was meant for.
also, do you know approx. what speed you're going up the hill? and what car are you using?

one last thing...make sure u have a decent amount of acceleration before you fully let go of the clutch. uphill driving is totally different than flat/downhill. drivers, especially with weak cars, really need to know what their cars are capable of so u should know before letting go of the clutch whether your car can maintain its speed or not.
