Help with Linksys Hub (EFAH05W)

Hi, I bought a Linksys Network in a Box (it's model EFAH05W), and it won't work for me. I get the power lights in a nice green color, but when I plug my Cat5 cables in, I get red lights for the connection, and none of the computers can see each other. I have confirmed that it is not my settings or the network cards (although I am not using the Linksys NICs), as I did not make one change, but used a friend's hub (not sure what brand) and everything worked great, including gaming online and transferring files. Unplugged them from his hub, directly into mine, and no go once again. Linksys' site didn't offer any help, neither did the manual. Any suggestions? I would appreciate it. Also, I'm not sure if it will make a difference, but my hub doesn't look like the blue one on Linksys' website, mine is bigger, and it's gray. Post here or PM me if you have any suggestions. Where did you get the Hub from? If you bought it locally, I would take it back and try another one. If you put in another hub, and everything worked, then I would say that you got a bad Hub.

Ugh. The problem is that I bought this thing so long ago, I'm sure it's out of the even 60 day range. Bleh, thus another problem of being this busy. Oh well, the good news is that because of the Hot Deals forum, I only ended up paying all of like $2 for the whole kit, hehe. Is there any other way to tell if I got a bad hub, or if I'm doing something wrong? Like I said, the thing lights up and all, just we can't see each other one bit. Oh yeah, and we're all on Win98SE, so that shouldn't be a problem either.

Look like this one?Your troubleshooting definitely points to a bad hub. Maybe contact Linksys for a replacement?

That's it exactly! Ok, sounds like a bad hub, guess I'm into finding out how to return it now. Thanks for the advice guys.
