Help with memory decision

Been away for a while...

Saw a killer price on 4g of 1066 and I'm considering getting it to replace 4g of 800. Good call? meh? Not worth it.

Don't expect a huge boost but at $, I'm thinking what the heck...but if it's not even worth cracking the case open I'll pass.

For the rig in my sig and no OCing. Just mid-level gaming, office and 2D graphics (CS4) work.

Can't you just OC your current mem to 1066?

My try to OC just to see if there's diff.

lol never upgrade memory for a few mhz.
of upgrades memory speed has the least effect.
only increase in ram size assuming you are borderline makes a big difference.
but at 4gb it doesn't count unless you are doing something that needs 8gb or something nuts.

you're already running your current memory past 1:1 unless you've got a crazy overclock going on. and if you are going to overclock, you should just run it at bus speed.
