I am not sure about the motherboard, the reviews are mixed(also i mimicked this build from a pc site that sells gaming computers). I also have vista on my old pc, which i will be replacing with the new comp, because i have the original discs+keys for that vista can u get an upgrade for 7 and simply install the old vista then upgrade it to 7 on the new pc?

Samsung F3 1TB $70
Should be about as fast as the WD 1TB Black (or maybe faster?).

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) $120
I'd go with the DDR3-1333 if you're not OCing.

Or if you really really want DDR3-1600...
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) $145
A bit cheaper, two sticks instead of 4, and it uses the standard 1.5V voltage instead of 1.65V.

Additionally:

Get the i5 760 + P7P55D-E LX combo for $299 AR. It's le4ss expensive and has USB 3.0.

Get a GTX 470 ($200 AR Apromo) which is faster and can actually make use of that 750W PSU. :awe:

also with this system, given i am not OCing will i need to buy extra heatsings or fans?
Nope. The stock heatsink for the i5-760 should work just fine.

If you get the GTX470 mfenn recommended, you'll have the GTX470's fan, 120mm case fan, and PSU fan working together to exhaust hot air. That should be good enough.

ah good to know, thanks, also, does anyone know about my windows 7 question? The computer i built before that has vista will not be used any longer, so would i be able to use that version of vista then upgrade to 7(to save money from buying W7 full)?

Ah ok, after reading that because i had vista ultimate id have to upgrade to 7 ultimate its more efficient for me to just buy home professional full. I also see that OEM for system builders is alot cheaper, would it be better for me to purchase this? what are the cons to buying that version.

That is correct, when you upgrade you must go to at least the same product edition. In your case it makes sense to just buy Home Premium. Regarding OEM vs. full retail, technically speaking the OEM version is locked to the motherboard that you first activate it with. I've never had a problem with activating it on another mobo though, you just have to call MS and tell them that you are replacing the motherboard.
