Help!! with my Computer

I have a build that is about 3 months old, every thing was working very well till this weekend.
E8400, Gigibite p45, ocz memory, win7 64

Get to work Monday, system is hung at "starting windows"

tried restarting, computer would stop at starting windows, and then the screen would go blank, most times with a blinking cursor at the top left corner of the screen.

tried repairing with install disk, gave 2 errors, that it showed it fixed, but would still not boot, stoped at the same place.

Ok, nothing important on hd, so lets re-install Win 7, format entire hd (just in case of virus) and re-install. the install hangs at the same spot, every time (tried 4 times) when the system reboots the first time, the starting windows screen shows, for about 10 - 15 seconds, and then screen goes blank, with a blnking curser at the top left.

Ok, lets try memory test, memory checked out ok, did not show any errors on 4 runs, using the mem test on the win 7 disk.

Ok, lets try a differnt hard disk, got the same exact results.

ok, lets try a different win 7 disk, got the same results

Computer has no problems booting the win 7 install disk.

I will be trying

memory (I have some that I know works)
processor (I have a old e6600 that I know works)
video card (I have a old one that I know works)
If all the above make no difference, it is the motherboard???

I do not think it could be the power supply, as the video seems fine while the machine is trying to boot. and the system always fails at the same exact place. What is loading when it is telling you starting windows?

Have you tried Safe Mode? Does it boot into that?

No.
Safe mode does not work either.

What does, "gave two errors", mean?

Just to ask the obvious question (and since we just talked about it in a different thread)...you don't have any usb drives or your phone connected, right?

No USB drives, No phones, nothing changed, computer was working when I left work, when I came back on Monday it was not working.


Solved!

I changed out the video card, was able to load windows 7 with no problem.

I took a guess, as the computer seemed to stop working when starting windows, where on it seems to be loading video drivers? As the screen changes, and that is where the computer would stop. I did not make any other changes, just the video card.
