Help with my i7 overlock please!

Hello everyone, i have been browsing through the forums looking for help, but i am hoping someone can just take a quick look and tell me whats wrong. My system boots at these voltages, but my third channel keeps dropping out. At all of the CPU and QPI stuff at default auto, my ram was fine at 1.64V 6-7-6-18 (g.skill trident). It passed 2 hours of memtest and never dropped the third channel. After trying an overclock my system will boot, but the third channel is dropping. I am trying to keep all voltages low and within intel spec. This system is for 24/7 use.

I am using an i7 920 and a GA-EX58-UD5 on F9a bios:

This is my OC (i also tried turbo mode, made no difference):

on sorry i am using G.SKILL tridents clocked at 6-7-6-18 DDR3-1600 1.66V

I believe it helps to have your uncore running at over twice the speed of your memory. Try bumping your uncore up to x21. I was having a problem with stability and this solved my problem and allowed me to lower my voltages substaintially.

Right now my 24/7 settings are

vCore 1.175
QPI x36
Uncore x17
BCLK 165
QPI 1.2

All others stock. System is stable at 4.0GHz @ 200BCLK @ 1.275v 8x memory, 1.26v QPI, 17x Uncore. Temps were to high for 24/7 usage but once I learned to keep Uncore over 2x memory speed stability was fine.

Thanks thorny I will try those settings late tonight.. 1.66V is giving me 1.65 real so it is ok. I will tighten the voltage after i get the cpu working.

I dont think the 1.65 voltage limit is as big of a deal as everyone is making it out to be. Yea intel says it will damage the chip, but when was the last time a manufacture said "yea volt the hell out of our stuff" i know a couple of people on extreme systems running 1.7 24/7 for the past 10 months and their stuff still works (no signs of degradation)

Sorry for the stupid question. How do you know a channel has dropped out?

When i go into the bios, it is showing channel C with no timings and the bios only reports 4GB of ram. It isn't a stupid a question.

wait, are there new bios's out for the UD5 now? I am on F7. Is F8 out of beta yet?
