Help with puzzle

Hi,

My roommate has been going nuts trying to figure out this puzzle.

It's a program that shows a picture. I've scanned it with Norton Antivirus so it should be virus free. I'm not liable if it actually does have one though.

To explain the picture, there are 3 parts of the puzzle. 2 parts slide in a counter clockwise fashion as pictured on the two left pictures. The 2 right pictures are the results of the sliding. Note that there are 13 people in one picture and there are 12 in another.

Please help for he will go legally insane if he doesn't find the answer.

Yes, but the guy kissing the chick and the chick are still there. So HE's not the missing one.

In one instance, there's 13 people. In the other, there's 12.

One HAS TO DISSAPPEAR! What you're saying is, they trade places, which *should* result in the same number of people, not one MISSING!!!!!

cut any one in half, there should be 1/2 on top 1/2 on bottom.

13th object exist on the left picture with the kissing guys 2nd pair of shoes as the bottom half. Top half is the doggie doo... That's why there are only 12 people in the pic...

Okay, take a careful look at the pictures. First, switch them to the position where the guitar dude is on the left. Take a careful look at his shoes when you switch the two positions. They go to the floating kissing dude. However, when you switch back to the original position, the floating kissing dude does not gain a pair of shoes from the lower half of the picture. Thus, right here, we have a discrepancy of half a person between the two pictures: in the first position it takes two objects from the top of the picture, the guitar man and the floating kissing dude, but only one object from the bottom of the picture, the guitar dude's shoes, to make two &quot;complete&quot; people. In the second position, we add a pair of shoes to an already complete floating kissing dude, so in effect we are hiding away half a body.

The other half disappears similarly. Instead of being attached to an already complete person, though, watch what replaces the floating kissing dude: a pile of dung that used to be the head of the boxer businessman. Here again is the loss of half a person. So in effect one complete person has &quot;disappeared.&quot;

The guy kissing the gal is not split in half. He moves completly away from the center leaving no trace behind to ocupy a set of feet on the side. The steaming pile that takes his place is the top of the &quot;fellow on the right&quot;'s head. actually the pile of sH_t is the 13th person.

no lastjir is right. What makes a person a top and a botom...But the kissing guy does not split. So when he lands on the other dudes feet he hides his bottum. The extra top becomes the poo, and everyone else shifts down a level. Note the guy who has his feet hid gets taller, that makes it seem like a lot dissapeared.

When you switch over from 13 to 12, the guy kissing the girl completely leaves the right side and is placed on the feet of one of the people on the left. Thus, you're taking a whole away from the right - not allowing anything from the left to recomplete a partial person.

That would leave you with 12.

That's how I see it.

Yeah that is right. That is what I noticed also.
