Help with re-install of XP

A little background info.

After returning from vaction my system would not boot, it would get to the screen with the grey bar just before windows loads then it would re-boot. I figured I would try a fresh install of windows and the install would hang when the percent bar would come up to copy files. I went to the extreme and re-formatted the C: and since the cd is an upgrade cd for XP it is asking for another windows version. The bad thing being about 6 months ago i trashed the win 98 cd.

Any thoughts of how I may be able to extract my head from my bottom.

You need another windows cd be it 98 or me in order to instal XP. Hopefully, you know someone who has a computer who will loan you the cd for a little bit of time. Otherwise, you need to purchase the full version of XP.
