Help with Router and Win98 (internet)

Hi guys,

I have just installed my new X-Micro WLAN 11b Broadband router.

I have a Desk top running XP that has direct connection to the router and everything works fine here. I can connect to the router and to the internet too.

On the other hand my girlfriends notebook has Win98Se running, and a PCMCI wireless, I installed everything and the connection is working that is the notebook can see the router (and my pc too), but it can surf the web.

I have no idea why. I set the IP address on the notebook as instruckted by the manual. The wieless system seems to be working fine, but still no internet for the notebook.

Plz help, any ideas on what I have to still configure in Win98 to let it use the router for the internet protocals???

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the PCMCIA wireless card is Realtek RTL8180 Wireless LAN (althog I dont think it has much to do with the issue)

one other thing:

I can see my Desktop (XP) computer shared files from the Notebook (Win98), but I cant see the notebook (win98) from my desktop (XP).
