Help with some car suggestions ? EDIT: picked a car, how to get best price?

EDIT: So i decided to go with a new Audi Q5 3.2....any suggestions on how to get the best deal? It's been a while since i've bought a car...

Looking to get a new car within a couple weeks, trying the say below 45k, need a 4 door sedan or a small SUV..... you guys have any suggestions?

So far I've been looking at the Audi Q6 (test drove this and liked it), BMW 523i, Cadillac CTS?.....Any others i should look at?

I'm open to a pre-owned but only with very few miles.

I've heard the Q5 is pretty damn reliable.

Once our Jeep is on it's last leg ... I plan on picking up a Q5 to replace it. Those things are sexy.

I love Audi's as well, I really like the S4 but its a little more than I'de like to spend. I think i need to go test drive the CTS

Maybe a used A6? I believe the new A4's are bigger than previous years, but I think I'd still say go with the A6. They start at $45k so you might be able to snag a new one with a deal at a dealership. Depending on how used you are ok with, you could even find an A8 in good condition.

A6 != Q5 at all ... Q5 is only on it's second year of production in the states.

Going along with the other Audi recommendations I am going to suggest something slightly odd...

The A4 rather than the A6. The A4 starts in the low 30s, but once you've actually specified it with options that you want it ends up in the sweet spot of your price range. For instance, a new quattro prestige auto is ~43k MSRP. Or you could always buy used... :hmm:

I like both Audi and BMW, but I always feel that their base models lack features that other manufacturers install as standard.

oooh, just added the A6 to the cars I need to check out...

I put nearly 40K on my old A6 w/o issue. Many 200-500 mile road trips, never let me down

If you want a new lux sport sedan in the low 40s the Taurus SHO is really your best bet, the thing blew me away when I test drove it, they really did a bang up job with the thing.

Barring that, used Audis are major win, just make sure CPO and its all good.

Considering he can get an IS350 AWD for his price range, this is silly.

Other things I'd think about looking at are the Acura TL and a well-optioned BMW 335i or is.

Personally I'd echo the chorus of A4/A6, CTS, or SHO.

Considering he can get an IS350 AWD for his price range, this is silly.

Ahhhh, I just looked it up. They 350 AWD is new for 2011, before you could only get the AWD in the 250.

Then I say go for the 350.
