Help with subs

I have a subwoofer box I built myself. I had originally made it for two tens. It's one box with 2 different chambers so each speaker is seperate. The volume of the each side is .75 Cu., exactlly what the speakers called for. Well I blew one the other day and need to get two new ones. I was looking into 12"'s, more specifically Infinity Kappa perfect 12.1 subs. They recommend a box with 1.0 cu for the volume. I know it will work but how much will I lose with the smaller box? I have some poly-Fill box stuffing, and it claims to make the speaker act like its in a larger box. Never used it so I don't know. In case it matters, these are the speakers:

I think if anything infinity may recommend volume too small, and you'd be putting them into an even smaller volume.

That said, my Infinity Kappy 120.3se fried today :| I have the feeling I'm going to get shafted since I bought it at etronics.com and infinity probably won't cover it, even though it was 100% retail packed with warranty card and all.

How does the poly-fill work or am I confussing its purpose?

Sorry about your speakers. I was going to go with Crutchfield, anybody had any experiance with them?

Crutchfield has the best customer service ever. I recently bought a headunit from them. I didn't like the way it looked, so I sent it back and got a different one. They paid for the shipping back to them and sent the new one out w/free shipping. It came with the usual mounting kit and harness. In all my clumsiness, I snapped the mounting kit and they sent me another one. Again, shipping was free. As it turns out, the newer headunit I got has a defective tuner and needs to be replaced. Once again, they're paying for shipping back to them and the new one comes out to me at no charge. If I had bought this from a "hole in the internet" site, I'd be tearing out my hair.

That said, I saved $100 by buying my speakers from another site.

Great bang-for-your-buck and they're designed for small box apps.

And no, poly-fill won't magically add 0.25 cu volume. Do it the right way and build the box to the sub. Don't try to fit the sub to the box.

Does anybody know the minimum and maximum size box for these speakers. I looked around on google and haven't found anything yet.

There is no maximum... The midbass will be much louder than the lower bass if you have a small box, and as you increase the box size, the midbass response flattens out and the response extends lower into the low bass frequencies.
