I don't actually care if you say retard I was just proving a point.
I did grow up helping retarded people, and it doesn't bother me in the least bit.
and I didn't say we didn't lose the war... I don't know where you got that from.
You did a history report? wow, then you should know that saying we lost the war simply because we are simple-minded jerks is ridiculous and unfounded.
and just because a man goes to war because he has nothing else going on or gets drafted, that doesn't by any means determine whether or not he will be heroic.
You just said it yourself... Chappelle says he intends to show how silly the stereotypes are.. and people may misinterpret him, but that doesn't mean he causes people to die.
Do you honestly think that if I say herro instead of hello I'm being malicious and propagating evil?
My friend who teaches in japan doesn't. My asian friends don't.
Are you asian?
You don't care? Weren't you the one who asked, "How dare you...?" Now either you're a hypocrite or just plain out lying.
As for the report, yes we americans did lose the war because of ignorance and I'll tell you why. Americans underestimated what the Vietnamese were capable of because they didn't know or care to know. They were just a country of simple rice-farmers in most eyes. Because of this ignorance, the short occupation turned out to be a 10 year stay. Eventually, the US realized this was a different type of war they were used to and retreated because it proved to costly. So is it unfounded and ridiculous now? Our forefathers ignorance and arrogance cost the US many lives.
I never said people who had nothing to do or getting drafted weren't heroes. A hero is someone who takes action so others don't suffer. The people full of hate were just some vets I interviewed. I also interview some that actually wanted to help.
And Chappelle doesn't cause people to die...not directly. But eventually, through an indirect way. He mainly makes fun of black stereotypes, and some people are accept this as just jokes and it's an appropiate way to act. But if someone acts in a certain way that is offensive to another because it was deemed "that's just the way people are" that may in turn lead to something dangerous. You know the old saying, "one life touches another, then in turn touches another...." Say if you are white and try saying something Chappelle would say to a black person, he/she may get offended maybe violent. This goes for all people. You don't have to stab or shoot someone just to kill him. That's my point.
Lastly, you saying "herro" does show you being mean, maybe not malicious. Only thing is, your friends don't confront you and tell you your mean 'cause they probably think your ignorant and that's the way you were taught. Don't speak for your friends 'cause you don't know what they truly think, only what they tell you.
As for me, I half caucasian and half asian.
