Paying for 100 down speeds from my ISP. I'm able to obtain those speeds before I leave work at 5am. Come 5p-8p at night I'm literally getting speeds of 1-5down. So my initial thought is traffic congestion in the neighbor hood etc but those speeds are insanely slow no?
I was told by the last ISP tech that visited that my coaxial cables are the problem and they need to be replaced on my end. Find that incredibly hard to believe. My question is. IF a coaxial is to blame somehow (my home was built in 1996 btw) wouldn't it be incapable of allowing me to reach 100+ down at any point? I mean if its so old/broken etc why then am I getting perfect speeds at various times??
