Help with Windows Virtual PC

When I came in this morning my windows virtual pc dive would not boot. The "starting the virtual machine" dialog box is open and the green bar progresses about a quarter of the way, then all of suden to the green progress bar resets to the beginning. It is stuck in an endless loop with no crash or error messages. I tried opening another virtual HD and it opened fine. The HD I am trying to open worked fine last night when I used and I did not notice anything when I closed it. but now it won't open. I am running win7 ultimate and the OS in the virtual machine is XP3.

Could use some help trouble shooting,

Ok, I managed to fix it. Apperently the shut down was bad. I just created a new virtual machine and attached the old HD. Using the new virtual machine allowed me to boot to the repair screen. Selecting the last known good boot allowed me to boot the HD.
