please help me my brother press the button shot down and now it takes 5 min to start pc what can i do????

We need more information. What brand and model, and exactly what did your brother do.

If your brother held down the on/off button for 4 seconds or longer, all it does it power down the laptop. With Windows XP and NTFS, this should not really be a problem. It may take longer to start up once, but after that it should be OK.

You can always try booting in Safe Mode and then do a normal shutdown.

try to run Scandisk/chkdisk on your drives. You may have some sectors that are fragged from the unexpected power-off.
