A little further south, small town, Clinton. About 7 miles east of Beloit.
I have a coworker who commutes out of Beloit I couldn't imagine commuting like that everyday

That it is I spend all my time working and finishing up my Master's Degree so I don't have alot of acquaintances after moving up here a year and a half ago. So it's cool to meet a fellow ATOTer!
There's more of course
Ausm is around here somewhere, YoYoHowsDaJello I believe is in Verona now, and HomeBrewerDude is in this *region* at least. Gigantopithecus works at the UW I believe. I'm pretty sure we have a few other Madisonites around too!
What I'd seriously do is if it's not too late, SELL the house instead of letting it go in foreclosure, at least you'll get some profit out of it.
Unlikely if the house was purchased recently. Home values around WI have yet to recover after the market crash. I know a local home that sold for $150k 6 years ago, is now on the market again for ~$115.
I've been thinking of getting a Raspberry pi to mess around with, if the guy does not respond I'm willing to buy it off you, let me know.
i bought a fixer upper in 01, fixed it up and then watched its value go to nothing in 08. struggled for 4 years to sell it or rent it... im giving up. i cant spend my whole life on one stupid thing.
guy who was going to buy my raspberry pi has not responded back.... i have lot of things up on cl now.. if it all sells ill have about $300.
glad the battery trick worked for you.. one of my aces in the hole
but no, i hope everything works out.. i'm willing to help you out cash wise if you need it.. i dont have alot extra, but, your a friend/atoter...let me know if you need anything.
thanks man. i should be fine. i have plenty of food now, and gas money isnt hard to ask for (i dont know why food is for me, but it is).
the battery trick was perfect. it almost makes you wonder if walmart will start drawing from paypal as a service. like the $3 refill on your card thing... i would gladly have paid $3 to load $40 onto a walmart card. but i guess this is even better since i get cash back.
I got a question to ask do you think you were living with in your means? You said you maxed out 5 credit cards which means that just does not happen over night. I just shake my head at that type of stuff people do. So what is your plan to fix all of this?

What is this walmart battery trick?
He probably got it online cheaper than they sell it in the store. If you bring it in without the receipt, you get the store price for a refund.
um.. no. that would be stealing wouldnt it?
you just order something online for instore pickup. they let you use paypal. my paypal debit card is expired, so i have no way to pay for anything in real life. go to walmart, pick up your item then take it to customer service for a return. they give you cash back.
this.
however...
the battery trick can go way thicker if you want it too..
it can go to the point of you picking up the batts, and walking straight to the return desk.. i dont condone that.. but, it can happen.
?? i just went to the customer service desk first, and i told the girl "i bought these online (showed paper) and theyre the wrong size. can i get store credit instead?"
she just said "um, yea go to site to store in the back and they will give you the batts. bring them here and i can give you credit"
that was that. but she gave me cash. she questioned it a little, she wanted to know how i paid. once she knew it was paypal, it made sense to her why i get cash back. i guess its not possible for walmart to refund a paypal purchase...
