Only thing I dont understand is you can be very up front about your financial history and your unfortunate luck and open up yourself to random people online...

But you can't go to a food bank.

I'm a sergeant in the US Army, got the deployment, got a steady job, but when you come to terms with it...no shame no game. My family is on WIC. And a lot if not most people live paycheck to paycheck...as shitty the situation is...there are people way worse off.

im by myself though. a perfectly capable, able-bodied fully grown man with an education. i feel at this point i dont have much excuse. i should have got rid of that house years ago, instead i was seeing dollar signs that were never there.

if i had a family, i wouldnt hesitate to go to the food bank.

the bottled water is a must. the tap water again is just too hard on my intestines
Have you ever tried boiling tap water before drinking? There are three things in tap water that could cause problems:

1. Chlorine
2. Bacteria
3. Other chemicals

Boiling gets rid of the first two. (Of course, then you cool the water in your fridge before drinking.)

Search for moneymustache, early retirement extreme, frugal living blogs, or fuck-you-money.

You will find some good tips on financial management.

um.. no. that would be stealing wouldnt it?

you just order something online for instore pickup. they let you use paypal. my paypal debit card is expired, so i have no way to pay for anything in real life. go to walmart, pick up your item then take it to customer service for a return. they give you cash back.

Gotcha, glad to hear things are going a little better for you now.

As an E1through E5, we lived paycheck to paycheck.
I was an E5 (in an E6 slot) when I got out. I made more money working in a glass shop than I did in the Army. In the Army, I had more people reporting to me, more inventory and more responsibility than the glass shop owner I was working for.
Military pay sucks. I might have stayed for 20 but I had to make a living.

What's the extra 7% in the ground beef?
That looks delicious.

It was 90% lean beef. Was good. Then I dropped the finished product on the floor as I was going to put it in a Tupperware. Lost 3 Joe's worth!

I have another order up at Wal-Mart. On my way home I'll get gas and that should do it.

I really don't mean to "have a go" at you but is there not something more productive than posting on the internet that you could do to earn a few bucks if you really are that short.

I remember when I first moved in with my girlfriend (now wife) and we were really unprepared for the cost of running a house as she basically had to leave home with less than 6 weeks notice when her mother was put into full time care . We were both 18 straight out of school with almost 0 savings on absolutely rubbish pay and were struggling to put food on the table or pay for travel costs for her to get to work at the end of the month (I had a company van so it wasn't a problem for me).

I could have gone to my family or she could have asked her older sister to help us out and charities could also have helped but I was too proud for that. I ended up getting a part time job even though my main one was already keeping me out the house 70+ hours a week and my girlfriend did some baby sitting/walked peoples dogs for a bit of extra cash until things improved.

My point is, isn't there anything locally you could do in the evenings (or whenever you are not at work) that could earn you a few bucks rather than trying to sell things to make ends meet.

Damn son. I'm in the 1% and make four figures every day, yet you eat better than me. BTW, I would have eaten the meat you dropped.

Next time, get yourself to the 99 cent store. One loaf of bread and one jar of peanut butter. Add jelly since you seem to be high maintenance. Bam! You're good for the week for about $3. Once you get really desperate, go to the Asian supermarket and get a 25 pound bag of rice for less then $10.
