you know, since im probably not going to get that paypal money into my tank anyway... how about i paypal someone $13 so they can order a couple pizzas for me? im freakin starving...
Damn.. NEVER would have thought I would hear that, as I never find users anywhere.
I'm in Fitchburg, WI right now working. I live in Stoughton. Shoot me a PM where you live. I'll drive out and give you $50 with your word you'll pay it back
that would be totally amazing of you. I bring home $1000 every two weeks after taxes. Its not an issue to get you back. Ill give you $10 interest too. No need to drive up here, i can make it to stoughton.
And i just ordered $40 worth of batteries for pickup at walmart via paypal. Ill go get them, and just tell them when i pick them up that they wont work and ill just take a gift card. That way ill just buy food from walmart for the week.
Pawn shop
thanks. im halfway OK! I went to walmart this morning, picked up the batteries at the site to store department.
then walked to the customer service counter and asked to return the batteries. they didnt seem to understand, but it wasnt against store policy so they did it no questions.
i asked for store credit, and she just said "youll get cash back, is that ok?" inside i shot through the roof, outside i just said "yeah thats fine"
so i took the cash and went to aldi's. i know i could get free food, but i have never done that before and at 30 years old i feel i would rather just die.
here was my loot. i had $43 in my pocket. no joke. i couldnt believe the total. i shot for $30, but i needed and wanted more of course.
so im set for food for the week. but the big thing is now i know how to get cash back through walmart off my paypal account. which means i can just sell more crap on ebay for gas money. and my replacement paypal debit card is in the mail. i should be fine. and also, through all this i found a fellow atot that lives nearby. pretty damn cool.
In the future, buy a bag of potatoes. You can get one for less than $5, and you can make a ton of food from it. You could live all week on less than $5. You'll be tired of potatoes, but ya gotta do what you gotta do :^D
Don't overlook the dollar store either. Some stuff's a rip off, even at $1, but they get some good food cheap sometimes.
Why in the world are you buying soda (orange and lemon lime) and bottled water?!?! If I was at the point of not knowing if I could afford to even eat, I wouldn't buy soda and bottled water.
You spent 17.9% ($7.64) of your money on stuff that has no nutritional value whatsoever. Water's practically free from the tap, even if it doesn't taste the best. I'm not trying to be a DB, but man...priorities. You have to learn to distinguish between needs and wants. Like the guy below said, "potatoes". Add some beans and rice and you'll survive.
I hope everything works out for you, though!
That it is I spend all my time working and finishing up my Master's Degree so I don't have alot of acquaintances after moving up here a year and a half ago. So it's cool to meet a fellow ATOTer!
There's more of course
Ausm is around here somewhere, YoYoHowsDaJello I believe is in Verona now, and HomeBrewerDude is in this *region* at least. Gigantopithecus works at the UW I believe. I'm pretty sure we have a few other Madisonites around too!
Yeah, there's at least few more ATers in WI. I am about an hour south of Madison, and I know a couple are around the Milwaukee area. Also several in Northern IL.
Janesville?
