Did you ask how long your lifetime limited powertrain warranty was good for?
Chrysler has not built a "real hemi" since the 426. Cerberus Capital Management just calls that engine a hemi.
Redneck much?
Now, away with ya. Go get ya some of them Truck Nutz.

I'm not this big of an asshole in real life, I just play one on the internet.
Asshole.

lifetime
His vehicle is covered, no deductible, and all important powertrain components are covered. It's not transferable, but when you buy a new vehicle, if you sell it you don't care about that anyhow unless you sell it to family.
I'd be pretty proud to own a 2009 Chrysler vehicle. With a lifetime warranty like that, shiiiit... not much worries. Either they put up or shut up basically - if something breaks that's part of the warranty, which are basically the most expensive components, no worries. Sure, out of a vehicle but no labor fees, no deductible... all costs covered. I'd be extremely happy to have that.
Chrysler has had some rough times as far as quality, and now it's strange because they have the quality but apparently not the appeal for new car buyers today. Not a lot of extremely efficient, or attractive vehicles in the fleet in the eyes of some. I'd buy one though.
Might be a LITTLE biased though, as though there is a GM Powertrain plant in my hometown, there is also a Jeep plant. Old one was there, torn down and replaced with a bigger and better one.
Used to be Willys-Overland building the MB and CJ. Then the ownership changed hands a few times and has been Chrysler for obviously quite some time. Favorite vehicles ever, the Wranglers. Still built there. Though sadly the damn Liberty and Dodge Nitro are seriously bringing down the Toledo North plant. Shit sucks because those vehicles don't deserve the honor of being built in Toledo, they suck, don't care for the Nitro as it looks like ass, no idea how it performs... but the Liberty doesn't deserve the Jeep name. Jeep will always be, and only, the Wrangler in my heart. Some other nice vehicles they build that are quite capable, but the Wrangler series will always be the best, and will never go away due to that fact.
I currently drive a 97 Dodge Dakota. It's been through a lot, quite a bit has went south on it, including the infamously terrible transmission that had been used for that model year/generation. Pre-97 were some great Dakotas, and the current ones, though time still stands as jury, seems to be a damn great vehicle.
Thankfully, wood where are you, ah here we go... knock knock... the engine is still going strong. One of the few original parts left under the hood, but with most everything else being new I should have quite a bit of life left under it. Owned it for nearly 5 years now, she's my baby. A bitch at times but she's behaving now.
I once made a terrible analogy that almost brought tears to my eyes, and I'll do it again: my baby is like my first dog. She lived to 17, and her heart stayed strong till the day we needed to bring her peace. Just... everything else was going south in her. Thankfully with mechanical equipment you can easily swap out new 'organs'... as long as that heart keeps on ticking I foresee my baby'll serve me proud for many years to come.
Though my parents recently picked up a couple year old Chevy Trailblazer. It's so nice. I offered my parents a trade.
I'd gladly own one of those. As much as I've always leaned towards Dodge and Jeep, I must admit I do fancy that Trailblazer. Smooth, lots of get-up, and seems exceptionally beastly. Great for my parents. It replaced a Plymouth Grand Voyager, and they needed the same capabilities. Towing, passenger room, and storage. And it seems like it would definitely handle itself well in terms of safety. I went with them shopping and it was between it and a Jeep. My heart was leaning towards the Jeep, cannot remember the model but I do remember it being one of the good ones. It was tough to go against it, but I did agree with the Chevy. Never been a big fan of GM products, but this seems to be either where they turned a new page, or one of there better fleet vehicles.
Oh and on the whole HEMI thing. Bah, all the haters. It's mostly just marketing. It's there largest engines, and finely crafted ones at that. It's just a nice marketing name to refer to those engines instead of referring to them by the liter designation.
The only other difference is instead of just using the HEMI name in everything, they've also used the SRT branding for the sportier vehicles with basically similar or the same engines iirc, depending on the vehicle type.
I really, really want the Challenger SRT-8. Will likely never own one, but I will own a Challenger.... one day. They are just a thing of pure beauty.
And it's not a Cerebus marketing thing. It's a Chrysler thing - used as marketing long before Cerebus.
