And I know perfection is out of my reach so I'll just have to settle for less. I have to say I got him (not a her), and hammer's right, no one can live up to perfection, but I never expected perfection and I'm the happier for it. Being realistic means that you can be great friends and still have those 'moments' and the whole thing works together smoothly, not in an up-down cycle, peaking at the moments, and going down the rest of the time. After a year, and an agreed upon pause in the relationship during the long-distance college parts, he's still the one that fits sully's list, for me.
