the chip on the card is made by Cirrus Logic, and it isn't their first product. Also, do you realize how stupid your comment is? You're basically saying that a product that's been on the market for a very long time is better than a newer one. Geez, should've kept my old PCI Trident 2MB video card, it beats everything out there since it's been here for generations. (and if you mean that the Live has evolved during all this time, you're wrong, it's still the same card that was released 4 years ago)

Actually, I do have a question. What output would you use from the GTXP to go to Klipsch 4.1s since they don't have digital decoding?

I use the front and rear jacks for my Klipschs.

On this page it has a picture of the back of the game theater break out box. Although I don't have those speakers, I do have a 4.1 setup. I am ASSUMING that you would just use two stereo cables from the amp on the Klipsch's to the front and surround stereo connections on the box. This is how I hook up my speakers to my old SB Live. Anyone else care to clarify?

Please, these two cards are uncomparable to my 1995 Avance Soundlogic SL4000. Wow, now that is a great card. All kidding aside though my X-Gamer 5.1 with Klipschs don't sound too bad, not bad at all I might add. If you know how to tune them for the pariticular environment they are in (room size, location, furniture and apt. or home). The base being the most critical in that line of speakers. I'm sure the Herc Game theater is the same way. Competition is good for everyone. They have different features, if a particular feature is important to you then get the card of your choice, they are both good products IMHO.
