It stinks that the 8500's can't still be on sale for 140. I would gladly pay 200 though then 300 for an 8500 with 128mb of ram in it.

No? Why not? I knew that the geforce 4 4400/4600 had some probs on out of spec mobos, but I wasn't aware the 8500 wouldn't work either. Of course, I have always and likely will always prefer nvidia because they generally get better performance, and have a much more reliable and regular driver history, and I own several nvidia cards that generally treat me pretty nice, and only one radeon that gives me problems, but anyway... I'm curious as to what you mean?

My 8500 works great with my Epox MB you stated. Running 1880mhz out of a 1800+. The Radeon is clocked at 305/610mhz. WTF are you talking about i have 3 friends with the same combo.

ANY guess what. I Just put a PNY geforce4 4600 in today. The $329 one from TCWO. now that deal was hot. IT fits. ONLY the VisionTEK ones were having a problem with this board.

You can get the Radeon 8500's now retail for around $140-150.
