Oh yeah, and tech, this is a good example of how right wing civil liberty stealing overspending propagandists (SPAM BOT! SPAM BOT!) are removing privacy, taking away anonymity in order to create a witch hunt

Upon reading another topic and debating a strikingly similar subject there I have been able to make my decision, and I don?t like it.

Romney and Giuliani are both synonymous with voting for Bush and further pro-government policies. What good is foreign policy if your country falls from within? One cannot focus on it and let domestic policy slip by.

As of now, he is the only candidate Republican or Democrat who holds the required domestic credentials. If another person steps up I would consider them but for the time being I must default to Ron Paul.

Let me reiterate how much I dislike this, but I would vote for Ron Paul.

crap is just a bunch of bullshit. If you really cared about leaving Iraq, Paul would be your best bet because I have a hard time seeing Kucinich beating Hillary or Obama.

I'm posting in this thread in an effort to cut down on Ron Paul threads. It's copy and pasted from another forum.

PLEASE REPOST THIS FAR AND WIDE!!!!

IT APPEARS (FROM THE IOWAPOLITICS.COM WEBSITE) THAT FOX NEWS IS TRYING TO KEEP RON PAUL OUT OF THE DECEMBER 4TH DEBATE IN IOWA!!!

Republican Party of Iowa: To host presidential debate in Des Moines

Debate to be nationally televised by FOX NEWS CHANNEL

The Republican Party of Iowa announced today that it will hold its presidential debate at Hy-Vee Hall in downtown Des Moines. The event, to be held the evening of December 4, 2007, will be the first debate in Iowa to be televised by FOX News Channel this election season, as well as the first debate sponsored by the Republican Party of Iowa.

Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Ray Hoffmann said, "With the caucuses less than a month away, our December 4 debate will be very telling to Iowans and the nation. We are thrilled to be having this event in central Iowa, and right in downtown Des Moines which will be the epicenter on caucus night."

The debate will be limited to those candidates who have satisfied the following criteria:

1. Announced a formal campaign for President: and

2. Filed the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission; and

3. Met all U.S. constitutional requirements; and

4. Garnered at least 5% of the national electorate as determined by an average of the most recent national telephone polls of registered voters conducted by non-partisan public opinion polling organizations leading up to the registration deadline as determined by Fox News Channel and the Republican Party of Iowa or garnered an average of at least 5% in the most recent polls of Iowa voters conducted by the American Research Group and the Des Moines Register.

AND THIS JUST HAPPENS TO COME OUT THE EXACT DAY THAT RON PAUL HAS MADE HISTORY BY RAISING MORE MONEY IN ONE DAY THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE!!!!!

THEY KNOW THAT RON PAUL DOESN'T REGISTER IN THESE BOGUS "NATIONAL PHONE POLLS" AND THUS GIVES THEM A PLAUSIBLE REASON TO EXCLUDE HIM FROM THE DEBATE EVEN IN THE FACE OF SUCH OUTSTANDING SUPPORT THAT WAS EVIDENT TODAY!!!

WE ALL MUST DO SOMETHING!!!!!

PASS THIS ONE TO EVERYONE SO WE CAN ALERT ALL RON PAUL SUPPORTERS IN IOWA THAT ACTION MUST BE TAKEN TO MAKE SURE THAT FOX NEWS DOES NOT KEEP RON PAUL OUT OF THIS DEBATE!!!!!

REPOST THIS TO ALL WITH ANY MODIFICATIONS THAT YOU FEEL NECESSARY!!!

My friends (or fiends as the case may be) call me the Leftist Libertarian. I believe in an effective and efficient functioning gov't that provides for our national defense and general welfare without needless regulation, social engineering and the politics of 'pull' (had to work in some Ayn Rand :shocked

Redeployment in Iraq? YES!

Recalling all of our military from overseas as Mr. Paul has suggested? NO!

Dismantling 80% of the Federal Gov't per Mr. Paul? NO! (though wacking around 20-25% would not be such a bad idea . . . . )

If we could only agree on that 20% wack . . . .

I would be fine with him as the Republican nominee; at least he's not the same old Bush nonsense that we've been getting for nearly 7 years. But I would never vote for him, nor any other of the current Republican candidates in an election. I mean, he'd have to be running against Al Sharpton to get my vote...

Yes for R nominee and yes in the General if Hill is the D nominee, esp because he has softened his stance against abortion recently, he is basically in the same boat as Fred on that issue.

Even if Ron Paul was in office for 8 years he wouldn't get most of the stuff he wants accomplished simply because its politics. He would certainly reverse the power grab over the past 7 years, so he would have even less power to do the stuff he wants, so its not like he will walk into office like Bush and get his way every single way.

The reason I will vote for him is... Hey, it's a start.

Even though he fits the Libertarian mold very well and is a traditional conservative, I'm more a moderate conservative/libertarian myself than anything else, and more liberal on social issues than he is. That said, I will vote for him.
