Every/most browser's have a little icon in the upper right corner, that is animated. I've seen it as a microsoft thing, an aol thing, and an @home thing, how could I change it to something of my own making?

The last company I worked for starting an ISP service. They received a program from microsoft to make "custom" internet explorer cd's to distribute to customers. I should have copied it before I left.

I believe a program called Tweak Revisited can do that.
They showed it on Tech TV.......Greg

No, it's called download the Internet Explorer Administrator Kit (IEAK) for the version of IE you want to do this to. Win2k also has this feature built in in the form of the Group Policy Add-in for MMC.

I believe the bmps used are in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Signup
They are named: 22.bmp 22s.bmp 38.bmp 38s.bmp and toolbar.bmp.

I would love to be able to do this, but I have always thought that it would be too much trouble then it is worth.

There are a bunch of programs that can do it Xteq, Windows Manager, you can also do it through one of the default snap-in's for the Windows 2000 MMC.

There's an MMC plugin called Local Computer Policy, type mmc in the run dialog, add that plugin then it's under User Config\Windows Settings\IE.

That's how to SET the bmp, you have to make one to set, first

All your Administrative Tools in Control Panel are actually shortcuts to Microsoft Management Consoles. You can build your own MMC by clicking on Start>Run and typing mmc and hitting enter. This will open a blank management console. Then click on Console and then Add/Remove Snap-in. Click Add and then choose your snap-in (in this case you'd choose Group Policy).
