Angela Petrelli's power is unknown AFAIK. She was however part of the organization that directly dealt with those who have powers. I'm sure she's aware of some of the powers people have, if not the names of those who have it.

She probably made the connection rather quickly. The people that were part of her group (like Linderman and Hiro's father) are not unintelligent by any means.

I don't know if it's the same person that killed Hiro's pops, but the way the lights went out I'm thinking it has something to do with the dark (possibly shadows).
