After such a great first season, there sheer magnitude of this shows decline in quality is really sad... i still watch it, hoping for a sliver of the greatness that season 1 had... but theres been little to make it worth my time. Sad.

with the powers toned down, i guess they couldn't use claire's blood to bring back nathan like they did for HRG in the past?

Nathan had his throat totally gashed open by Sylar with blood pooring out and dead almost instantantly. I dont think anyone other than Claire herself could have survived that.

They ruined Peter, thus the show took a huge hit. I do not understand his power as it seemed in the past it was just the last person he touched or the multitude of people he has touched, either way it is a waste of what he used to be. If he doesn't gain some semblance of his old powers (obtaining other powers and retaining them all), then he is ruined and the show is done to me.

Sylar has made the show for one reason, he fully used his powers all the time to get things done.

Peter came close to this. In the episode from an earlier season, they showed post blown up New York and Peter was fighting Sylar (who was disguised as Nathan). Simply what could have been has not even come close.

Peter was the equivalent of Sylar if he ever would have used his full potential. The sad part is he did not use his full potential until his power was stripped by his father which was the most CRAPTASTIC moment in the series. I shut my tv off and did not watch it for a few weeks with him basically neutered. He finally shows glimpses but if his power is only to be the last person he touches, then I am done. He will have become a joke and a half as anything resembling a "hero" in a series where the bad guy is totally awesome.

They seemed to have flip flopped a little between his power being recalling people he has touched and being the last one he touched. I have seen all the episodes and still am a little confused by what the heck is going on with him.

Its a little better this season. Some good storylines seem to be unfolding. I was upset when they killed off the speedster, Daphne. She was a cool character.

I cut in late in the show.

#1 - The Parkman/Sylar plot was painfully obvious. We know Sylar plays everyone, who didn't see this coming a mile away?
#2 - The HRG plot. Well, so much for trying to help people, Noah. Still, I doubt you'll ever redeem.
#3 - To be honest, the most interesting plot line so far seems to be Claire's. Yeah. He actual acting seems to be one step up higher than usual (which isn't saying much), and frankly the "oh shit" situation she's in with people knowing she has powers is pretty interesting. I have a feeling after last night we'll be seeing the Haitian pay her friends a little visit.
#4 - The carnival thing - lame xEleventyBillion. The whole hidden plot thing with it is dragging out way too long.

After what happened with Claire and Noah, it seems to me like there's sort of a shift towards moving people with powers into the public's view. Kind of like X-Men did, when mutants were publicly acknowledged. I wonder how that will play out.

And yes... I thought the whole "halloween lite horror movie in the slaughter house" was sort of lame, yet fitting. But the blonde seriously was overacting... much like Claire often does... and her only real lines were screams.

Last night was the first episode I've watched since the end of season 1. Obviously, my wife and I were lost. :laugh:

We were both surprised about the lesbo turn of Claire. Obviously, an attempt at ginning up some interest in a fading show.

Everything still moves painfully slow IMHO.
