How come if DL can walk through walls and put his fist through skulls he couldn't just walk through the bullet? I guess that might not have saved his lady's life, but couldn't he have pushed her out of the way and walked through the bullet?

He intentionally took the bullet to save nikki/jessica

I hadn't realized the pace they were putting out the graphic novel... I'd read the first 6 and then stopped. Checked yesterday, and there's 32 of them.

Another plot hole.

He has the ability to phase. He should've just grabbed Nikki and phased through the bullet.

Why does everyone expect them to be perfect at making the exact decisions at a split second's notice? It's a TV show for pete's sake, if they were perfect, it'd be boring!

Half way through now, very good episode. Building up for one hell of a final show.

"Didn't I throw you out a window?" Best line of the night.

Linderman getting a fistful after offering Jessica/Niki a fistful of dollars. His view, "I believe destiny to be intrinsic" as rationale to ask Jessica to kill DL didn't come to pass.

Answering Parkman's question after 2 rounds to Thompson's noggin, "We were old friends." Wow. He's double oh seven.

Does anyone die in the standoff between Bennet and Suresh? Molly? Your guess?

It was not my intention to kill this thread, just to provide an alternative because with ~120 some odd posts per episode, it is becoming very bloated and slow.

I even linked this thread in the new one.

But apparently you got your wish as my thread was locked. I guess one of the mods is positively or negatively partial to Heroes and doesn't want more than 1 thread for whatever bizarre reason.

Well, I just wanted to keep one thread per season. If we were in the middle of the season and everyone wanted a new thread, that would be fine but why start a new thread with only one more episode left in the season?

Because if any episodes deserves its own new thread it would be the finale, and considering the regular season shows have generated 120+ replies each, and the finale already greatly anticipated (there were already 37 replies in the new thread before it was locked), I'm pretty sure the number of replies are only going to balloon from here on out. It already takes way too long to change and browse pages in this bloated thread, and it is only going to get worse once Monday comes.

My thinking on the bullet was that he should phase out and the bullet would drop out of him.

But, yeah he could have just phased himself and nikki out.

when phased how come he doesnt just drop through the planet? lol

Syler is supposed to get the phase guys Hawkins powers because in the future episode he phases through the door and grabs Peter Petrelli and pulls him through it so Hawkins must get his head cut off soon.

You know Peter Petrelli should be able to absorb Sylars powers ALL of them including his original power so Peter should be in the end more powerful than Sylar could ever be. Any power Sylar gets by killing Peter can get just by being near Sylar so the power is not lost to Peter. Any power that Peter gets that is lost if the original bearer of that power dies before Sylar can find them is lost to Sylar. The only way Sylar can get those powers is to kill Peter which although possible should be unlikely. Peter could easily defeat sylar if he was doing the same thing sylar was doing. If peter killed every mutant he came in contact with preventing sylar from getting their power he would be vastly more powerful than sylar because peter would absorb all of sylars powers and keep his own when they met.

Peter's brother Nathan IMO is very jealous of Peter and is a super control freak power hungry jerk. I can't wait till sylar cuts his head off, lol.

Yay back to bloated thread. I was looking forward to peppy thread loading.

Anyway, on another note somewhat separate from Heroes, this will probably be the last new series of this type I watch. 24 is okay because you know if they cancel at the end of a season it is okay because they have 90% resolution at the end of the season. Lost is not going away. But now, after seeing Jericho and Invasion canceled, I do not see the point in investing time in something that could just go away tomorrow without any resolution whatsoever.

Heroes rocks. I hope they never cancel this show.

What's the rationale behind Hiro being able to learn swordsmanship in a few minutes?
What's his Dad's power?
Lindermann should have been quielty playing Beethoven's 9th in his office

I still maintian that Hiro has never changed time. The events that happened in the future sequence are still happening. Future Hiro had no effect on the timeline when he came back and talked to Peter.

I guess we'll see..

1) Yes, but the damage the bullet caused is still there.

2) You're right. He reacted like a normal mortal and stood between the gun and his wife instead of acting like a Hero with phasing powers and should've simply phased both out of harm's way. Writers wanted more drama and perhaps another death or two.

3) Shhh!

---

Episode 20: Five Years Gone would've been a good season ending cliff hanger. Monday's season finale will have to be pretty darn good to top it.

Both Peter and Sylar are too powerful now. I'm afraid the writers will kill them off.

Events have not contradicted Issac's paintings, but this not the same as saying Five Years Gone will occur. (Future Sylar pulled Peter thru a door, presumably with DL's power. This suggests DL survives his wound long enough for Sylar to lop off the top of his head.) The Heroes will change the course of their 'future history' because if they can't that means Five Years Gone will come to pass and that is simply not going to work as an ongoing TV show. It'd be a dark series otherwise.

So Hiro didn't go back in time to learn sword play and mend his sword. After training and talking with his old man, Hiro learned that any old sword will do and he may have to sacrifice Ando.

I think the comic book has no dialog because Issac gave the messenger his scrap book with the neccessary info Hiro and the other Heroes need to defeat Sylar.

Looks like I guessed right on the Mexican stand-off between the Indian and the White Man.

Is there a way to download all of the heroes episodes instead of watching them on nbc.com website? I saw that they have that program you can download, which will let you download a episode. But when I was using it, it was just letting me download episode 22. Will the nbc universal download manger let me down load all the other episodes as well? I know I can do bit torrent as well, but would like to use this nbc download program though, if not I'll give bit torrent a try.

Its possible that Hiro slowed down time or even stopped so that he learned more in short time period.

I think he did change time. I think in the original timeline, Sylar blew up. In the new timeline, I think Peter blows up. Difference is, Peter has the invincibility powers which only Sylar had in the original timeline.

Both Peter and Sylar are too powerful now. I'm afraid the writers will kill them off.

Sylar is too powerful, but he's also the villain. He's not supposed to be stopped easily, he's the cliche supervillain as opposed to some evil organization.
Peter doesn't know how to effectively use his powers yet, he's scared of Sylar.

And the producers of the show already confirmed sylar lives through the season, but he's not supposed to be as major of a villain next season.

He's Japanese, it's genetics.

Given that he's a kid who loved swords and stuff, it's probably guaranteed that he at least played with them for a bit as a kid ( if not finding some stick or wooden rod to use instead... I know I did as a kid  ). Also, the point of the exercise was not to teach him how to use a sword, it was to teach him how to accept what he must do without fear. Hence the story of Kisei, the guy who cut his own heart out... fearless! We're talking about Jet Li like Fearless .

Also, I do find it interesting to translate some of the Japanese and compare them to the subtitles as a lot of the words used are fairly common in animes and such, so they're easily understood. I've found some of the translations to be a little too generic. I also noticed how they ignored some of the Japanese in the last episode, mainly when Ando was looking up the sword shop in the phone book.

Would you be so kind as to translate those missing lines for us?
