Yup, a good one. So, why does the artist still have his hand? I never got the impression that the first episode was out of sequence. He cut off his hand, and now he has it?

Also, part of me wonders if the doppelganger girl didn't kill her husbands cronies and help him get out of jail. He may be hiding from her

Man, this show owns. Halfway through the 2nd episode now, but I have to ask...who's the short-haired brunette chattin' it up with the indian guy? She's so cute

Her characters name is Eden MacKenzie played by Nora Zehetner.

Yummy! I  brunettes

I think she's sorta ugly.

I think you're sorta crazy.

Jesus was that ending disturbing.

yeah, they need to explain whether or not she feels pain, because DAYUM that would suck to wake up to - wolverine heeling powers or not (of which he claims to feel pain...)

I think they've been pretty clear she doesn't. She has suffered a ton of what would be extraordinarily painful things (particularly having her hand torn apart by the Dispos-All), with no apparent pain.

That's the thing though, is it just an oversight, or is she used to it by now? Some dialog would be nice to confirm it.

To put it into perspective, my father would work in carpentry and would often cut himself in minor ways that he wouldn't even notice it unless it was pointed out to him.

Her not noticing her ribs poking out (first ep I believe) indicates she doesn?t feel pain, but when she fixes her broken shoulder/arm/whatever she might not notice the ribs in comparison her other injuries if she can actually suffer some shock.

Humans feel physical pain in order to help prevent physical injury, but if you don?t have to worry about injury as much (or at all) you very well might not feel pain as much (if at all). Still would be nice to know one way or the other. I think it would be kinda cool to have her screaming in agony or something, at least make it have a drawback to spice it up. Although without the pain she certainly is more of the potential invincible juggernaut...

Dude..she obviously doesn't feel pain.

If she did, she wouldn't have walked into a flaming train wreck, jumped off a 60ft tower (or whatever it was), stuck her hand down the sink disposal, or all of the other sh!t she did before the first epsiode (she mentioned it in the first episode).

On the contrary, would you care about pain if you knew you'd heel instantly and the pain go away? It isn't like you'd have to put up with a drawn out heeling process. Then there's pain threshold, you could easily increase yours with such an ability if you're not already somewhat immune to pain (but can still feel it as I mentioned above)

What was funny is I said "SH.." seconds after Cheerleader Claire said it on tv... but it was purely due to my reaction to the scene (her body cut open) rather than copying what she said... strange experience

As far as the storylines go, I guess it would be possible that the nuke event isn't the end, but that it ends on the Sylar plot line (if there is ultimately more to the Sylar plot line than the nuclear explosion).

Err.... I just read something on a news site that said Heroes has been picked up for the full season. And I'm pretty sure full season doesn't mean "7 episodes".

Let's see if I can find the link...

here ya go: http://www.tv.com/heroes/show/17552/sto...ml?story_id=6622&tag=headlines;title;0

Honestly, I don't know how many episodes they're planning on. I already knew it got picked up for the full season, but it makes sense in a timeline sorta-way if it ends around the 6th of November if they manage to stop whoever and the crisis is avoided.

The reason why I said 7 episodes is that's all that is listed. Maybe that's all they had planned on before it got picked up for the full season.

I'm really liking this show so far. But I have to say the first two episodes were better than this one.

Remember, multimillion-dollar-cash cow 24 was initially only picked up for *13 episodes* (Half a season). It was supposed to end with the resolution of the Ira Gaines plotline (Jack rescues wife and daughter, they get in the CTU helicopter and fly away). END SERIES. But look where it is now!

I have no doubt in my mind that this show will last a full TV season, and hopefully get renewed for a second. As for the date of the "nuclear incident", I feel it's kinda irrelevant since if they succeed in changing the future, the *Sylar cult* will come up with some other problem for them to solve...

(That's right, I believe Sylar is not one person, but several people or even a group... not sure if that's been discussed already since I haven't read much of this thread).

And speaking of superhero-ish coincidences, today is my 7th year anniversary as a member...

Which is especially odd because today is the first time I've posted on AT in months...

Uh... you watched the wrong version. That's the Comic-Con screener. That part was changed so he just overdoses.

Of course you would, anyone would. You're crazy to think otherwise.

I know what you're talking about concerning small injuries that you don't even notice (like your Dad) but like I said...she has done some ridiculous sh!t. Sticking your hand down the friggin disposal? I mean come on..if she felt pain, she'd be freaking out after doing that..or better yet, she wouldn't have done it in the first place.

Simply knowing that you're capable of healing wouldn't "make the pain go away" or "not matter as much".

I think you're making this too complicated. It is quite obvious that she doesn't feel much pain.

She's cute, yeah. Not "hot", but definitely cute. I'd take her.

Shes definately not the "hot" type but the "cute" type, the "very cute" type which makes her "uber cute"

Claire is better looking anyway.

Jail bait...I think.

Yes it would. Instead of a throbbing/disabling injury taking days if not weeks/months to heal, it takes seconds. Rehabilitation after tearing tendons can be more painful than the initial injury, now if you can heal from it in seconds...

People fear pain because it hurts. The more you get hurt, the higher your pain threshold can get. If you can heal from the most devastating wounds in mere seconds, the fear of dealing with the pain isn't going to exist. You'd have that initial pain but you wouldn't have to endure it. Heck, you might not even get a chance to feel the pain if you heal faster than it takes for shock to wear off.

Yes but...
1) We're talking about cuteness, not hotness.
2) Shes jailbail so end of discussion.

People fear pain because it hurts? Gee, I never knew...

This has nothing to do with longterm pain, since she obivously heals so quickly. However, if she felt a significant amount of pain at all, you can't honestly believe that she would still willingly walk into a massive fire, stab herself in the chest, or shove a two-foot rod through. That "70-80ft" jump was only her 6th "suicide" attempt. She never once complains about pain besides a few winces or small grunts, she just "heals".

Dude...face it, you're the only one trying to argue that she feels a substantial amount of pain when it is obvious that she doesn't, especially not during the healing process. Let it go....

So you think she is hotter?

She is 17, which isn't jailbait everywhere, but that is irrelevant.
