i was hoping the first two episodes would be used to character development, and the pace would eventually pick up
the third episode is nowhere near as fast paced as i'd like it to be

Wow, you guys are REALLY in the minority. For those of us with attention spans longer than a fly, it's great pacing.

Yeah, its a hell lot fatser pace than LOST.
I stopped watching that show because each show was background story on 1 character and I stopped watchig it.
Maybe it has changed since but the pace of heroes is definately not slow.

Did some gremlin from Heroes just temporarily screw up our accounts? I was "Eclipsed" for a moment.

The comic book is from the future, right? Depending on the lead time (and how long it was sitting on the sales rack) it takes to get to print he may not be able to get the next issue.

The curly-haired chick is the girlfriend of the heroine-addicted artist. Her father was being taken care of by flyboy who is, err, was a nurse.

Mirror chick still confuses me a bit as well, but I think that she has like some evil self that has some mad PMS

they need to start merging the character stories together and soon
that way they can develop 3-4 stories in one episode instead of the 7 they are trying to do now. It makes for very little development in each individual story

and some of the parts are just obvious:
the artist seeing his girlfriend kissing the guy in his painting. I get it, can we move on now to the next character? Time's a wasting
yes, the girl will heal when the stick gets pulled out. Does a stick in the neck warrant an open chest autopsy? I would have opted for another nuclear explosion ending

but some parts are cool:
i'm still trying to figure out what Ali Larter's power is. Does it need mirrors, or is it a She-Hulk alter ego?

I think they reached the end of the comic book. It said in the book 'to be continued' in the panel where they drove off to vegas.

In Hiro's flash forward the news shows Nathan Petrelli winning his Congressional seat by a landslide, I bet that future changes when he joins the Heroes.

Speaking of Hiro didn?t he cause that accident where he saves the school girl by telling his friend to wave down the truck?

I don't know what is up with Isaac Mendez the painter cutting off his hand. I thought that was only in the unfinished pilot was leaked onto the internet in July 2006, having been ripped from a DVD screener. The screener version had certain differences from the version which ultimately aired. Isaac's part in the story was especially different.

Niki Sanders HAS a Doppelgänger that does the things that she is not capable of so they may both survive. Remember after the slaughter of the two thugs the Niki in the mirror was covered in blood. It seems to be visible only to her and comes out when she is in danger. Now the Doppelgänger left Niki the map to the desert site where her husband's gang was buried, which leads me to believe that the Doppelgänger was the one that killed them. Niki's husband was in prison for those murders, but he escaped because...

D.L. Hawkins has the power of Phasing! Was that him in the bar with the ?f? necklace at the end???

Micah Sanders is the young son of Niki Sanders and DL Hawkins. Oh yea, this kid is going to be a Hero!

Glad to see that LA cop Matt Parkman was cleared and is on the hunt for Sylar. He could read the minds of all the people at the bar except the bald black man with the ?f? symbol necklace. Was that D.L. Hawkins or Sylar?

Sylar has VERY powerful telekinetic ability.

Horn-Rimmed Glasses man is trying to get the Heroes to reveal themselves by forcing the use of there powers. That football quarterback seemed out of character with the date rape of Claire. Maybe one of the forces of evil made him do it.

OK lets clear this up Claire Bennet feels no pain. Remember she stuck her hand in the running In-Sink-Erator garbage disposal and did not notice that her fingers were mangled until looking at them. Also her friend had to point out the compound fracture of her ribs, and don?t forget the lack of screaming while on fire. But yea, ?Oh sh!t.?

Chandra Suresh, nice to that Good Father is getting some work after SG1.

finally got around to watching the 3rd episode. good to see NBC is picking it up for a full season.

i don't think the guy in the bar is the one with the phasing power, because he doesn't look like the actor cast to play the role. because he was able to block the mind reading i'm thinking he has some kind of telepathic power & possibly part of the sylar group or w/e.

I think Horned rimmed man is the leader of the bad dudes. He has that cold, calculating quality about him that would make him the perfect villian. Plus, his daughter being a superhero would lead to some interesting situations. The african american dude at the end works with horned rim guy, if you watched the teaser for the next episode. They capture the cop and 'want to find out more about him'.
