You also like Judge Dredd.
What exactly is in hershey's "chocolate" in this new formula? I thought cacao = chocolate. Cocoa butter = cacao. Cocoa fat = cocoa butter. Where is the chocolate coming from? Are they adding minuscule amounts of cocoa powder or something?
hershey's chocolate sucked anyways
Their only good chocolate is their syrup anyway, their candies' chocolate suck
If its not 65% or more cacao I don't eat it anyway and the companies that make those bars wouldn't use vegetable oil in it .

They're not "smaller," it's more "convenient." Spatially efficient. New and improved.
Raising prices makes people cut back. So you just make the package smaller, and do what you can to distract the customer. Psychology is fun.
I'm kind of surprised that they aren't putting false bottoms into the containers - raise up the bottom, and thicken the lid. That way you can have a package that looks like the original size, but has less product.
Andes Mints are a great example of this - the clear part of the wrapping shows the product. Then there's opaque wrapping around the perimeter. Think that is covering more chocolate mints? Nope, it's covering empty cardboard filler.

Good day for vegans. Hopefully more chocolate will be produced without dairy.
I have a bag of chocolate chips been munching on for a week, no dairy in them whatsoever. They taste great.

Um... cocoa butter is not dairy. It's just vegetable fat, like whatever vegetable oil they replaced it with. Only dumbass vegans will be jumping for joy (yes, I realize that's redundant).

BUT IT HAS THE WORD BUTTER IN IT!!!!!!
In a statement, Hershey?s told TODAY that consumers love its products and all its candies are clearly labeled. It still offers real milk chocolate in Hershey?s Kisses, Reese?s Peanut Butter Cups and its classic chocolate bar.
?And recently it put back the milk chocolate in Almond Joy because consumers complained,? Lieberman said Friday in her report.

Apparently some ATOT'ers don't know how to read linked articles:

Sugar, vegetable oil (palm, shea, sunflower and/or safflower oil), chocolate, nonfat milk, whey, cocoa butter, milk fat, gum arabic, soy lecithin, artificial colors (red 40, yellow 5, blue 2, blue 1, yellow 6), corn syrup, resinous glaze, salt, carnauba wax, pgpr and vanillin.
Yup. Smaller packages tend to be less efficient in terms of package:contents.Originally posted by: lupi
That's their theory, but I wonder when we are getting an even higher price increase due to packaging to contents ratio going up.
