Yo all.
if you want something that is more compatible with basically all dvd players, use a dvd-r/rw drive (for those using a playstation2 to play dvd's, i don't think ps2's read dvd+r's).
also, dvd-r blanks are heck of a lot cheaper. (worried about speed burning? wait until Pioneer comes out with their a05 drive 4x dvdr 2x dvdrw and cdrw etc)
www.meritline.com has dvd blanks for 1$ or less...can't remember....

The PS2 definitely does read DVD+RWs, as I understand. The prevailing opinion in my circle actually seems to be that DVD-R/DVD-RW is the leading Betamax candidate here. Does anyone in the know have a different opinion? shl0791 definitely does have a point about the economy of DVD-R media. Of course, most dying formats are cheap at the end
