If you own a 19" monitor, then please answer the next questions:
1.- Brand.
2.- Model.
3.- Resolution U R Using and Why?.
4.- Number of color U R Using.
5.- Refresh Rate (Hz).
6.- And at least but not last; what is great about your monitor and what is not so great?.

Regards!

1. Sony
2. CPD-E400
3. 1280 x 1024; more room for working in Photoshop, FP 2000, web browsing, etc. (basically having more windows open on the screen)
4. 32 bit color
5. 85 Hz
6. What's great: excellent color saturation, near perfect geometry, sharpness of text, easy to use controls.
What's not so great: slight color misconvergence in the lower left corner, only does 75 Hz at 1600 x 1200.

Maybe I'm wrong but the Hitachi Superscan 753 is an 17" monitor, isn't it?

1. Sony
2. CPD-420GS
3. 1024 x 768 because it seems to be the best compromise between picture quality and readability from a distance
4. 32-bit color
5. 100 Hz
6. Best: The GPE button--It offers 3 different graphical enhancement modes: Standard, Presentation, and Graphics/Video.
The Standard mode is the normal monitor settings.
The Presentation mode temporarily increases the brightness (until you switch it to a different mode, change resolutions, or turn the monitor off). This mode is great for playing games like Thief or Need for Speed (night driving) in which the brightness settings that you normally use are too dark to see anything.
The Graphics/Video mode brightens the screen while also adjusting the picture in a way that makes it seem more detailed from far away.

The front input is nice too.

Worst: It weighs a ton and requires a lot of space on my desktop. (ahh, the sacrifices we must make for a big screen.)

3. 1280X1024 - desktop space
4. 32 bit
5. 100Hz
6. This is the best monitor I have ever owned. The color calibration is excellent, the OSD is easy to navigate, the text is sharp. Even my 19" Sony at work can't measure up!

It does the trick for me, I couldn't beat the price (free). If I ever paid for a monitor this size, I'd get something that was a lot less bulky.

1. Samsung
2. 900NF
3. 1280x1024 because my video card can't really handle anything higher
4. 32bit
5. 85Hz
6. Good - Cost, Vibrant colours, excellent geometry, text is sharp, goes up to 2048x1536
Bad-flip open OSD panel seems cheap IMO. There is a slight bow at the top of the screen.

3. 1280x1024 -> Using it cuz I heard it was the "standard" resolution for 19inch.
4. 32-bit
5. 85Hz
6. FLAT, High bandwidth so it has good specs, sharp text, Nice colors, BNC ports, nice controls(tons of options) ...BAD: a bit bulky but not really a problem....

1.- KDS
2.- AV195-TF
3.- 1600x1200x32. used to be 1152x864x32 up until recently, but thx to lukfilm's suggestion to turn the font size up (thx luk ) i grew familiar with this resolution
4.- 32bit
5.- 85hz - the best combination of flicker-free and sharp picture.
6.- Good: image quality is unrivaled as far as conventional AG/SM tech goes, great price and havnt encountered any problems whatsoever, not to mention its a pretty good looking monitor as well
Bad: no BNC input, but image quality is damn good as is so thats something i could live without.

1. KDS
2. VS-19sn (19" short neck)
3. 1280x1024 w/large fonts. (That's the most I can fit on the screen that these old eyes can see!)
4. 32-bit
5. 85Hz
6. The Good: Great cost-to-value ratio, excellent warranty. The Bad: Wish the display was a bit brighter and sharper.

2. PS790-2
3. 1024x768
4. 32 bit colour
5. 100hz (how do I enable 110 and 120?)
6. The picture quality is better than any monitor I've ever seen. Bad thing is that it kinda sorta flickers a bit at certain resolutions (I'm guessing its starting to get worn out).

3) 1600x1200 cuz its huge
4) 32bit cuz it looks nice and i finally got a vid card that can handle it nicely
5) 75hz it can do higher, but windows doesnt support 78hz or whatever, i had drivers for my geforce that changed it but the new ones dont do it

I got it because it was flat screen and cheap! It was only $200 brand new (in box) at Best Buy. It works well and looks good (.25 dp) and is a giant step up from the 15" I was using!

EDIT: It's hard to get the screen perfectly square (it's hard to setup).

1. Samsung
2. 900nf
3. 1280x1024. Things aren't too small yet I still have plenty of space
4. 32bit of course
5. 100hz. I don't notice anything different between 100hz and 85hz and it doesn't matter for me as long as it's 85hz+.
6. Great - great specs, nice price, comparable with the more expensive ones. Not so great well it's pretty big and heavy though many 19" AG are. Oh yeah it could drop down to $100 or so I could run duallies but that won't be happening.
