Hey beer people, I have a question

My mother went to some world market in atlanta and brought be back some random ass beers, just wanted to know if anyone had heard of/tried any of them. Picture of the six

Rogue Mocha Porter is one of the best beers in the US. I've seen it locally in a few of these mixed drink sixers but I would never think to buy one in that form because mixing beers = bleh, horrible clash of tastes not to mention havoc on the stomach. I miss being able to buy Rogue Mocha Porter growlers by the case from the brewery . All Rogue brews are extremely good BTW.

I think where my mother got it they have a wall of beers and you just pick any six for ~$8. If it's good I'll just go there and get 6 of 1 kind.

Modelo sounds like a good Mexican beer I like. I usually got the Negro Modelo as I like dark beers.

Rogue is decent, but they ususally pride themselves on a deep rich flavor. They usually sell 22oz bottles around here...

Modelo is a standard mexican brew. Good balance and $2 on monday nights at our local taco joint.

Abita Turbo Dog, not my fav....but decent. Most people prefer Purple Haze.

Shiner Hefeweizen and Franzishaner both deserve a lemon in them. Drink them on hot days and they'll go down like iced tea.

Shiner Hefeweizen is pretty good, but I've had better Hef's. Modelo is the typical mexican beer, which actual Mexicans drink (not Corona). It's supposed to be decent.

I've had the Modelo, Abita Turbodog, Franziskaner Hefe, and Shiner Hefe. Not sure about the Rogue Porter -- think I've had Rogue Ale at one point.

The Modelo is decent Mexican beer; Abita is very good beer, from what I remember; Franziskaner is a very good German beer; don't remember much about the Shiner, probably about average quality.

Who cares? Drink and have fun!

Shiner comes from Texas, the Spoetzl brewery in the town of Shiner, east of San Antonio. Shiner makes several different kinds of beers, and they're all EXTREMELY popular and widely available in Texas. Most, if not all of them are delicious. Their Bock (yellow label) is especially ubiquitous in Texas, seen by many as the de facto "state beer". They also make a Shiner Light, Shiner Blonde (mainstream American Lager, my favorite beer), and some other specialty and seasonal stuff.

Modelo, I think, is a pretty mainstream beer from Mexico. Don't know much about the others.

Shiner is a decent domestic wheat beer, but doesn't stack up well against the Germans, Xingu I think is a medium bodied dark beer.. only had it once & it was a long time ago, Modelo is the light version of Negra Modelo & is very good if you like Mexican beer, Franziskaner I believe is a Belgian style wheat beer that I've tried but don't remember much about... Never had (or heard of) Turbodog or Rogue.

Shiner == probably from Texas
Modelo == Mexican

I haven't had any of the others nor the specific versions of the above two.
