Woohoo! Way to go USC! You exposed Notre Lame for what they really are.
A BCS bowl team?
Do you think that they deserve to go to one of the BCS bowl games?
Let's see....4 at large bids in the BCS: Boise State, Michigan, Arkansas, Notre Dame.
Can you name one other team in the country more deserving than those four?
LSU, Wisconsin, Florida, Auburn, Rutgers, Louisville are all more deserving than Notre Dame.
Auburn beat Florida
Arkansas beat Auburn
LSU beat Arkansas
Florida beat Tennessee and LSU
Rutgers beat Louisville
Louisville beat West Virginia
All of these teams have at least one win against a team ranked in the top 15 of the BCS.
What's Notre Dame's best win? 14-10 against a Georgia Tech team that is barely hanging in the top 25.
I strongly agree with you. Now my points:
1. ND is the most overrated team in college football (Cal would come in second). USC has backed their stuff up so far, however they'll be up there too after they play a team with a decent defense (OSU).
2. Originally I was against a rematch however now I'd much rather see one if I could also see UF vs. USC in some bowl.
3. We need a 4 team playoff system - if UF and USC win their final games, I think that after this year there will be alot of pressure put on the college presidents to instill one. You'll have 4 teams with one loss three of which will all most likely be within a few points of each other in the ratings at the end of the year. Two have played very tough schedules - UF especially (USC being the other, OSU's schedule was pretty challenging as well).
