Hey, does anyone know if this snowboard is any good?

Hey, I'm looking to buy a snowboard sometime soon, don't want to spend THAT much on it.... i found this at overstock.com and it looks nice, and it's not that expensive.... any thoughts or ideas?

seriously though- looks like a nice snowboard--- just make sure you get some nice bindings for it.

I used to be a die hard skier, and I was like, damn snowboarders, getting in the way and crashing into people and stuff.... but then I tried it, and it's crazy.... it's completely different, just the way it feels and the way you ride gives a totally different experience... i'm not saying one's better than the other, but both are tizight!

yeah, i tried snowboard a few times about 3 years ago--- i could never really get into it--- i just hated how you spent most of the time on your @ss.. And skiing is just more fun, you go faster and it looks way cooler when you do tricks, becuase anybody can do a jump on a snowboard.. on ski's i think it takes way more skill.

So to answer your question - in my case any snowboard is verrry bad.

you cracked ur skull??? that sux man.... i'm kind of decent at snowboarding... i can make it pretty fast down intermediate slopes falling only like once or twice.... carving is no problem, and edging is getting pretty easy.... but i just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of/used mly boards and whether they're any good or not....

Actually that's a pretty crappy board. I work at a ski/snowboard shop and I can, without a doubt, tell you that that is crap. We carry Burton, Salomon and K2 and in my mind those are the only boards worth buying. The reliability and performance are miles better. Spend some more and get something decent.

hey teriba, I was actually looking at those boards, and I like the salomon eldorado... but i can't find a place near me that carries it.... do you know where i could go get one for a low price...?

I would buy just the good stuff (Burton, K2, Forum, M3, Lib Tech) and not like some no name

IF you gonna drop 180 and get a piece of crap....then u basically wasted 180...

Get a Burton....that's quality. (maybe i am partial..so i only have Burton Board and stuff)

Skiing is way too easy...and is easy to learn....started riding blacks the second time out and got bored.
IF you want a challenge....try Snowboarding....

I do agree that a lot of Snowboarders...just sit in the middle of the slope..which pisses me off too espeically on the blacks

That is a GREAT board for what you need. You don't need to waste your money on a Burton or a Forum. They are overpriced (especially in Canada) and there are many smaller companies that produce boards of the same quality.

That board was rated one of the top 25 boards of 2001 by Snowboard Life magazine.

Buy it, and save your money for other gear or lift tickets. I've been snowboarding for 8 years so I'm not full of $hit. (I also happen to be very good at it )
