They hyped USC so much because they knew it would increase ratings. ABC and ESPN are both owned by Disney, it's all business.

and usc has been overrated - they're good, very good, but texas showed what happens when you play them rough nose football.

I like the 01 Miami Team with Dorsey, Portis, Mcgahee, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow, Ed Reed, Phillip Buchannon, Sean Taylor, Johnatan Vilma, etc... Just the year before they had Dan Morgan, Reggie Wayne, Santana Moss, and other players as well. What a stacked team.

Do you really know that much more about football than anyone else in the world that you can run a simulation of those two teams against each other and know the outcome so easily that you can say with confidence one team would 'stomp' the other? Does your simulation take into account weather conditions, home field advantage, injuries, bad calls amongst many other variables that can go into games. Seriously, how the fvck do you know?

too drunk to read any other posts, but I have to agree with you. ESPN should have never did that poll before the game.

With that said, 95 Huskers > 05 Texas Longhorns. F-the fact that all they did was run. Everyone that year knew it and you couldn't stop it.

BTW, even though I hate him (he torched my Wolverines last year) Vince Young is an absolute stud. He and Reggie were heads and tails above every other player on that field.

Great Defense versus a Great Offense usually ends in the Defensive victory. Add to the fact that a lot of the powerhouse teams in the 90s had above average to very good offenses, and you see what I'm saying.

Sure, USC would put up good games against the 90s powerhouse, maybe even beat a few. But in the polls, and the opinion of the media, USC would've soundly beaten the best teams of the 90s. Which is ABSOLUTELY false.

I'm gonna ask you to do a favor. Go compare the number of scholarships in Div 1A today compared to the number of scholarships 10-15 years ago. Now do a little bit of thinking. There you go, I knew you'd get it.
