Oh, yeah. It's hubrisly self-congratulatory to think you've succesfully survived another year based soley on your own abilities; especially in light of the fact that, as another anonymous passenger of planet Earth, you didn't have to walk the circumference of Earth's orbit without the protection of its atmosphere, magnetosphere and gravity well.
